.22 Pistol a Trappers Gun-Is the Stevens Diamond Model Pistol, with six inch barrel, a good weapon for trappers to carry?

The Stevens Diamond Model pistol, with a six inch barrel is a very good weapon for a trapper, with which to kill captured animals, and small game for bait. I prefer the gun wit a ten inch barrel as it has greater distance between the sights, and it is easier to do good shooting in the way I use it-resting across my forearm-and I have it fitted with the peep and globwe sights. These sights cannot be used when shooting the pistol in the usual way, held at arms length in one hand. The six inch barrel is neater in appearance and more convenient to carry, but the Damond Model is rather lignt for off hand shooting. For such shooting I would choose the Off Hand Target Model, with a 6 inch barrel and open sights. It is heavier than the diamond and has a fuller grip, and is the best gun of the two for off hand shooting.
