I certainly do like to hunt with a good .2 rifle but I never use a shot gun. I have been hunting twenty-five years with the .22 rifle.
My first one was a Stevens single shot, am I made some good shots with it considering the ammunition we had then. We did not have the long rifle then so all hunting was with the shorts. I did not know what Nitro Solvent was. I made my own cleaning rod out of wood and I had never seen a brass cleaning brush.
When I think about it now I don't see how I hit anything at all. I next bought a Colt': repeater, but never liked it so well. My next one was Winchester repeater .22 short but then I decided I wanted the '90 Model .22 long Next I tried the same Model in the Winchester .22 W. R. F. My next one was a Remington but my boy wanted it so I gave it to him. a: I wanted the new 1919 Savage .22 pretty bad I got one and it is a dandy. The king of all .22's.
I certainly like the bolt action, for it is ac curate and heavy enough to hold steady.
