A mixture made of the following has been successfully used by various trappers. Take all of part of a muskrat carcass and place within a screw top jar, one holding two quarts preferred. Then take the fat of the skunk, also the scent bags. Procure three field mice and place the entrails of same within the jar. Screw lid on jar, not too tight, and place in a warm place and leave for 2-3 weeks, after which the jar should be kept tightly closed. When one has occasion to use this preparation, take a stick and smear this within the abode or at other convenient places to which the fox or coyote is attracted.
